Austin Water WaterWise Landscape rebate rebate
Austin Water rebates pre-approved conversions where at least 75 percent of the area is healthy turf grass and native or adapted plants will cover more than half of it at maturity; planting is limited to spring and fall windows.
Artificial turf: Covers live plants only, not artificial turf: the FAQ lists artificial turf and permeable concrete as not eligible for the rebate.
Applies in Austin.
Source, read 2026-10-20. Rules and funding change; confirm with the agency before you plan on a rebate.
SAWS WaterSaver Landscape Coupon rebate
San Antonio Water System gives residential customers up to four $125 plant coupons a year, each for removing at least 200 square feet of grass and its sprinklers and planting a drought-tolerant bed.
Artificial turf: Covers live plants only: the coupon buys plants for a garden bed, and the page does not mention artificial turf.
Applies in San Antonio.
