About True Putt
True Putt is cut short and stitched tight so a golf ball rolls true. The pile is 5/8 inch on a 3/16 inch gauge, half the row spacing of most of our lawn lines, at 34 stitches per 10 centimeters.
The yarn is a medium bi-color green, so the surface looks like a kept green rather than one flat color. At 57 ounces total weight it is also the lightest roll we sell, which makes shaping a green by hand easier.
Most backyard greens put a longer turf around the edge as a fringe; Active Turf or Evergreen work well. True Putt is rated for medium to heavy traffic, so it also handles putting games and play.
Best for
- Backyard putting greens
- Practice areas next to a patio
- Short-pile play surfaces
