Artificial turf in Knoxville, TN

Knoxville (Knox County) has about 198,162 residents. Here is what the local climate means for a turf lawn, which of our nine lines we would pick, and who can install it.

The climate in Knoxville, in numbers

Summer highs in Knoxville average 87 F. That is warm enough that a natural lawn needs regular watering from late spring through early fall.

Rainfall is heavy, about 56 inches a year. Turf with a fast-draining backing keeps the surface usable after a storm instead of muddy.

USDA hardiness zone 7b.
