Artificial turf in New Orleans, LA
New Orleans (Orleans Parish) has about 364,136 residents. Here is what the local climate means for a turf lawn, which of our nine lines we would pick, and who can install it.
The climate in New Orleans, in numbers
Summer highs in New Orleans average 90 F. That is warm enough that a natural lawn needs regular watering from late spring through early fall.
Rainfall is heavy, about 60 inches a year. Turf with a fast-draining backing keeps the surface usable after a storm instead of muddy.
USDA hardiness zone 9b.
